IMAP, was the first program of its kind, and was created by the Mammal Technical Committee of the Pennsylvania Biological Survey (PaBS).

IMAP was a joint partnership of the National Wildlife Federation, PA Wildlife Federation, PA Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, Mammal Technical Committee/PA Biological Survey, and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

The pilot IMAP conservation plan was completed for Pennsylvania, and will be used as a model to protect critical mammal habitat throughout North America.


LATEST NEWS

 The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources  gives properties that are designated as Important Mammal Areas more eligibility points on DCNR grant applications, which elevates the probability of grant acceptance.
