PWF's Founding Fathers were Frank Felbaum, John Riley & Wendell Peterson.
The specific and primary purposes for which the Corporation was formed are:
(1) To develop, promote and support a comprehensive educational
program based upon scientific, technical and legal study and analysis for the restoration, wise use,

The specific and primary purposes for which the Corporation was formed are:
(1) To develop, promote and support a comprehensive educational
program based upon scientific, technical and legal study and analysis for the restoration, wise use, management and conservation of wildlife and other natural resources.
(2) To inform and educate the public through the dissemination of
facts and information that may contribute to a fuller understanding of problems involved in the restoration, wise use, management and conversation of wildlife and other natural resources and in various possible solutions to the problems.
(3) To coordinate and cooperate with other organizations, agencies, societies, clubs, and individuals in this state which are or should be interested in the restoration, wise use, management and conservation of wildlife and other natural resources and to join and cooperate with other organizations, agencies, societies, clubs, and individuals outside of this state that are interested in the restoration, wise use, management and conservation of wildlife and other natural resources.
State Threatened & Endangered Species
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has a 3-part film series on state threatened & endangered species. Additionally, they have 12 short films on wildlife research.
The purpose of these films is to provide rich educational content on science and wildlife conservation and to offer a unique view of fieldwork that is rarely seen beyond the small community at the Game Commission.
The three T&E episodes so far are: great egrets, Allegheny woodrats, and piping plovers. Woodrats and plovers have both won multiple film festival awards. The Allegheny woodrat film has educational curricula paired with it. Additional curricula are coming soon.
